Abstract

Photophoresis is a process based on momentum exchange between an illuminated dust particle and its gaseous environment. Its net effect in transitional disks is the outward transport of solids from hot to cold regions. I discuss the dynamical effects of photophoresis in transitional disks using a 3D two-fluid hydrodynamical code. This has implications for grain growth and meteoritic composition.
